My Name is Kenneth A. Martin. I am the sole owner and CEO of M.I.G. Holdings, Inc. & M.I.G. Investment Group LLC, with its subsidiaries: M.I.G. Properties, M.I.G. Storage, TLC Pawn & Equity Loans, Furniture & Mattress Warehouse and QJM Auto Sales all based in Moorhead Minnesota. As the CEO, I coordinate and lead a team of Administrators, Managers and supervisors at different subsidiaries of M.I.G. Holdings. Before I became an independent business owner, I worked three years at the Wahpeton Canvas Company, where I worked the production assembly line, later moving into sales where I gained more knowledge and experience. I hold a degree in Business Management along with over 40 years now of gained experience which has helped me to overcome many obstacles .In 1977 with just $500 dollars I started a 1000sf retail store, JR’s Trading Post, where we would buy and sell whatever we could. Soon after opening we started making short-term loans to our customers and continued to expand the business and facility. Not too long down the road a fire claimed 80% of our merchandise which was not insured. We started over at an 8000sf building and continued to expand our business and facility. Incredibly, we were able to construct a new building, 28,000sf, over the top of the original building without closing our doors to customers, which is unheard of today. We were even selling mattresses right out of the backs of Simi Trailers! The business would expand from Retail and Pawn into Residential and Commercial Properties and Self-Storage facilities, year by year the Company grew as I continued looking for and opening doors to new possibilities including a Family Amusement Facility, Hotel and Convention Center and even a massive hardboard manufacturing plant. By 2018 the Company had grown to over Forty Million dollars in assets acquiring and developing nearly One Million square feet of leasable space.
M.I.G. Holdings Inc. the “Heart” of the company started as a Sole Proprietorship which was formed in 1982. In 1997 it was incorporated under the name of Trading Liquidation Center, Inc. and in July of 2004 the name was changed to M.I.G. Holdings, Inc. and is now the holding company for M.I.G. Properties, LLC’s, TLC Pawn & Equity Loans, QJM Auto Sales and the Furniture and Mattress Warehouse, all of which are the “Body” of the Company and located within the “Exchange Station” which could be identified as the “face” of our company. M.I.G. Holdings, Inc.
